Hello campers, parents, and all members of the CKW community!
We come to you today with an exciting update! After more than 2 years of planning online programming during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are FINALLY planning our return to on-site programming this summer. In fact, registration for our on-site programming is now available here, or under the “On-Site Registration” menu link under “Summer Camps”.
While more information regarding specifics will come later, we do have a plan in place for a fun and SAFE return to Camp Kasota West this summer for all campers and staff. This includes:
- Full vaccination status required for all campers and staff
- Extended cleaning measures and sanitization precautions
- Modified programming to allow extra space between campers and staff
- Reduced cabin sizes and maximum campers per week
- Modified meal serving to limit contact with other campers and staff
- Separation of campers into cohorts to limit contact with other campers and staff members
- Outbreak and isolation protocols in place should an individual test positive or begin displaying symptoms
Though there will be more information regarding the specifics of our covid safe camp protocols closer to the summer, we want you to know that we will do absolutely everything we can to ensure that we can have a safe and fun time on-site this summer.
We will also be running online programming in conjunction with our on-site program, to ensure that all campers will be able to experience camp in some capacity this summer.
For future updates be sure to check back here, sign up for our newsletter Smoke Signals, or follow us on social media (Instagram or Facebook) as we will be sending out updates across all these platforms.
We could not be more excited for a return to camp this year. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org, or email@example.com.
Stay safe campers!
Hello Campers and Families,
We hope you are all doing well.
Due to the restrictions put in place by the Alberta Government, in person overnight camping (including summer camps) at this time is not possible. With this in mind, we plan to continue our online program from summer 2020. This will include Zoom sessions, Instagram takeovers, special events and the addition of our new YouTube Channel.
In addition to our online programming, we will adapt to the changing regulations put out by the Alberta government, and will remain hopeful that we may be able to have in person camping when it is deemed safe.
To remain up to date with online programming and the possibility of in-person camping, be certain to check our website for updates, as well as our social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook). For immediate updates sent directly to your inbox, sign up for our newsletter “Smoke Signals.”
We can’t wait to see you this summer!
